How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you in the course of doing business as a client or contact. We use this information to understand your needs and provide you with an appropriate service, and in particular for the following reasons:

  • To provide consultancy and/or advisory services to you
  • Internal record keeping
  • We may use the information to improve our services and communications.
  • We may occasionally send promotional emails about services or other information we think you may find interesting using the email address you have provided.
  • We may occasionally use your information to contact you for market research purposes.
  • We may contact you by email, phone, or direct messaging via social media.
  • We may use the information to customise our website and social media according to your interests.
  • We may sometimes share your data with third-party agents acting on our behalf, during the course of a contracted project in which you are a client or partner. All third-party agents will be required to sign up to a Data Sharing Agreement.

We will never sell your data to other organisations.

How we store your personal information

Your contact information is securely stored in Google contacts.

Documentation shared in the course of contracted work is stored in either Dropbox, Google Drive and on our business computer(s). All online storage and websites are protected with two-factor authentication. We keep email correspondence and documentation for no more than six years. We will then delete your information.

If you contacted us via our website your details are stored in WordPress Form Responses and will be deleted after no more than one year from submission.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

  • Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
  • Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
  • Your right to erasure – You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.
  • Your right to restriction of processing – You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
  • Your right to object to processing – You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
  • Your right to data portability – You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you. Please contact us if you wish to make a request.

How to complain

If you have any concerns about our use of your personal information, you can make a complaint to us via our contact page.

You can also complain to the ICO if you are unhappy with how we have used your data.
